XACTSPOT MSA
XACTSPOT MSA is a multi-station analysis (MSA) program, intended to assist the user in determining whether significant systematic data errors are present which might cause inaccurate computed azimuth values. “Inaccurate” means failing to meet the expectations of the error model. The program can evaluate error sources listed in the error model, but it is particularly useful when errors exist which are larger than the expectation of the error model. Such errors that XACTSPOT resolves and corrects may include:
Large axial biases caused by drillstring magnetization.
Cross-axial magnetic biases, which may be caused by drill collar “hot spots” or magnetic junk attached to the BHA.
Cross-axial scale factor errors may result from magnetic particles suspended in the drilling fluid.
Torsion (β) refers to rotational or toolface misalignment between the accelerometers and the magnetometers.
Axial scale factor errors may be caused by induced magnetization, resulting from proximity of the sensor to a magnetic BHA component.
Reference field errors.
Features Overview
Our Multi-Station Analysis application provides advanced tools to allow our customers to quickly analyze their data and make meaningful decisions. We have provided a suite of features that allow the user to import, analyze, and plot their data in one convenient package.
MSA calculations
Our algorithm can quickly evaluate input data and provide a corrected readings.
plotting
Our advanced plotting engine allows you to quickly compare pre and post correction data points. Zoom in and out to focus on specific data regions. You can even save the plot to an image file for easy sharing
You can select from the following plot options:
Azimuth vs MD
Inclination vs MD
Inclination and Azimuth vs MD
G Total vs MD
B Total vs MD
Dip vs MD
Toolface vs MD
Well Header
Optional well header allows user to add identifying information to reports and exports.
ADVANCED DATA Importer
Our importer eliminates the need to perform manual data prep. Support for Excel, CSV, and Text formats. Auto detection of column survey data from header. Option to invert sensor values to compensate for different configurations.
